Delray Beach Waterfront

The design began with the idea that this Delray Beach waterfront lot should have an individual presence and significance that stands on its own. The architectural design resulted in unique compositional strategies using broad horizontals framing glass expanses that are subtly anchored with thin vertical natural stone elements. This home, named Las Ventanas, or “the windows”, has a low sheltered entry that opens up to a high ceilinged great room with a 30 foot wall of doors and clerestory windows. The large expanses of glass lend an abundance of natural light into the space. The organic architectural style and horizontal elements are echoed on the interior through dropped soffits, wood and stone accents and subtle vertical forms. The open plan flows into a grand deck that cantilevers out toward the pool and waterfront. The interior stair seemingly floats to the second level where an upper deck reaches out to panoramic views of the intercoastal.
